Access to the testimonies of Holocaust survivors around the world
Holocaust survivors are the backbone of the Holocaust and its commemoration in the State of Israel. Collecting the personal stories of the witnesses contributes to the preservation of memory, shaping the consciousness of Israeli society, historical research and the education of future generations.
Against the background of severe phenomena of Holocaust denial and rising anti-Semitism, in parallel with the documentation work done for the "Generations" Evidence Archive, we invite survivors to participate in a traveling exhibition that will present their testimony accompanied by artistic portrait photographs produced by The Autographers. The products - stills and stories, published in catalog books that are translated into different languages.
Our goal is to create a direct connection between the various strata of society: the audience at a young age, the creators, students and Holocaust survivors, to bring them together and make the evidence accessible in a personal and close way.
The project has been done since 2017 in collaboration with the program "for generations" _cc781905-5cde -3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_ - _cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b The Students' Association of Israel .
In June 2019, the project received a shield of appreciation from the Ghetto Fighters' House Museum for its activities to commemorate Holocaust testimony.

The Autographers Project has made a significant and creative contribution to documenting the story of Holocaust survivors, through the eyes of artists, and for this he is awarded a shield of appreciation.
